Inspiration || With The Right Company, You Go Faster

Hey Beloved, welcome back!

From my last post, we talked about how you need to plan and prepare (with God’s help) for the year 2019, read it here. 👉2019- New Year, New Journey

But today I will like to talk about how the kind of company you keep can either bring you total success or total ruin on this journey.

Let’s see what the word of God has to say about this: “Become wise by walking with the wise; hang out with fools and watch your life fall to pieces. ” Proverbs 13: 20 (MSG) Wow! That is a big bomb right there!

You see, one of the good things you can do for yourself this year is to choose your association wisely and be discerning about it, because you literally become who you’re surrounded with. No relationship actually leaves you the same! As we read from the scripture above.

The word of God is our standard but if today seems to be the first day you are reading that scripture, I’m sure you must have heard this saying: “show me your friends and I will tell you who you are.” Right?

So without any iota of doubt, you will agree with me now that you are defined by the company you keep. Who you are joined with determines how far or how bad you go, directly or indirectly, it affects the outcome of your life. It’s that simple!

And like I always say, not everyone is going your direction, so it’s OK to select and handpick the very few people that are going the same direction as you.

Seriously, friendship is not by force but by choice, you will actually not be committing any offence if you decide to unfollow or unfriend some people and be friend with or follow people of like passion. The company you keep determines what accompanies you. You know! Wisdom is precious. 👌

The year 2019 is a journey and you will go faster if you are in the right company.

Keep Flourishing!

Inspiration || 2019- New Year, New Journey

“Is there anyone here who, planning to build a new house, doesn’t first sit down and figure the cost so you’ll know if you can complete it? If you only get the foundation laid and then run out of money, you’re going to look pretty foolish. Luke 14:28

In the above scripture, I believe Jesus was talking about the importance of preparation and proper planning.

And one of the keys to leading a successful life is preparation.
As I’ve always talked about setting realistic goals in life, and for the year 2019, this saying remains.

OK! I am not talking about the usual New Year resolutions oh, far from it! Because that would not take you through the year.

I’m sure for some of us, by March we would’ve forgotten about all the resolutions made. Lol!

So it’s about making conscious effort in planning by the help of the Holy Spirit (No! We can’t leave Him out in this journey if we must enjoy a smooth one) and preparing for what the year has in store.
I am certain the year is very robust but you and I have a part to play.

I encourage you to refuse to let the year just happen to you but rather, make conscious effort to make the year happen for you.

You will be in charge of the year if you follow every leading of the Lord.
Divine guidance is so key, you know!

So, I will advice you take some time out to personally ask the Lord, “what is in the year 2019 for me?” It’s never too late to ask the One who knows the end from the beginning ANY question and remember, everyone who asks receives (Matthew 7:8) so you can be sure of an answer.

Finally, let’s read what Psalm 32: 8 says: I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advice you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!” (TPT)

Occchhhhh! Did you read that? May be you should one more time…

Done now? OK! Someone had better cooperate with the Lord right away! Lol!

As for the year 2019? It’s going to be a journey, you should get ready.

Keep Flourishing!
