My favourite part of the story of Easter is the part of the hope that Jesus brought us, which I believe is the ultimate part.
You know, when the first man fell, all hope was lost, that man couldn’t anymore enjoy that cordial relationship and intimacy he once shared with God at the cool of the day.
I can imagine how bad God must have felt, I said so because I believe one of the reasons God created man is for fellowship and the fellowship was cut short due to man’s ignorance.
You see, God is such an amazing God! He wanted, by all means, to redeem man back to the position the devil took from him.
As a loving father who knew how much man has messed up and how by ignorance man sold his position to the devil, He, in His loving kindness made an alternative for man to be redeemed back into his lost place by sending His ONLY begotten son to die for mankind.
But the gory part of the story is that someone bled for the sin He never committed, an innocent person was crucified and sentenced to death on what He never did but He did it for love, He did it just for you and me. (Romans 5:8) He went through all that humiliation, agony and pain so we can regain our access to the Father, to give us dominion over the devil who cheated us in the beginning, to give us a good life, life beyond here, life everlasting.
He willingly went to the cross to pay the ultimate price and then to the grave, to finish the battle, He took the keys of death from the devil and won victoriously! In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross. (Colossians 2:15) Death is now swallowed up in victory! Glory to God!
Heheheheheheh! O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? Thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:55, 57)
Our Saviour couldn’t be held by death! He conquered and gave us full access at last. We can now boldly enter into the fullness of who we were made to be from the beginning of time.
The beauty of Easter is the victory that Jesus, the son of God brought us. It is the resurrection power that symbolizes the eternal life granted to everyone who believes.
What a great joy! What a beautiful story!
Christ is risen and so are we!
Risen to new life!
Risen to receive Power and Wealth and Wisdom and Strength and Honor and Glory and Praise! Hallelujah!
It’s worth celebrating!
Happy Easter Celebration!
